It finally is the time. I finally got the time to do it. My THE BEST OF 2014 series is on.
In the next 4 or so blog posts, I'm going to talk to you about my personal favourites from 2014: movies, music, TV series, books.

So today we're going to start with movies. Now, I just want to say, I haven't watched all the movies from 2014, my favourites are from those that I have. If that makes sense.

Let's start!

1)  Edge of Tomorrow

That is definitely a favourite. The movie has this structure like Source Code, so one day repeats until certain thing isn't solved. Also the combination of the actors... uuu I really liked it. Emily Blunt, who I adore and Tom Cruise. It just couldn't go wrong, am I right? haha. Also because it is a Sci-Fi/Action movie, I like it even more.

2) Need for Speed

Ok, now, this movie... I think it's just like an average racing movie, nothing special. So you're question probably is, why is it in my favourites. It's because of Kate. I was with her in the cinema to watch this movie. And let me just say, I laughed more than ever.

3) Divergent

As well as the book, movie is very good. At first I wasn't sure, if the movie is going to be, as good as the book, but it is. Trust me. Worth seeing! I'm definitely waiting for the next part :)
Also did I ever mention, that Shailene Woodley is a very good actress? I watched a lot of movies with her this year. I'm looking forward to seeing more movies, where she has lead role.

4) That Awkward Moment

Let me just take a second to breathe. How can I not like this movie, if the main role is played by ZAC EFRON!!! I enjoyed the movie for sure, but probably because of Zac Efron. Just sayin' haha. To be honest it's not a bad movie, a typical romantic comedy. But I loved it :)

5) X-Men: Days of Future Past

I could not go further without mentioning this movie. Though it's not the best part of the X-Men series. But it is X-Men series. I was more than overly happy, when i got to know that Hugh Jackman is going to return in this movie. Of course I recommend this movie to all X-Men fans out there, because it's something you cannot miss.

6) If I Stay

This movie made me cry a few times. Really. I'm not that kind of person, who cries at most of the movies. But this one... Amazing story, handsome main male character. The ending, uhh, it could be better, but besides the movie is great!

Those are my 2014 favourites, if we talk about movies. Also there are couple movies, I still want to watch for example: Gurdians of The Galaxy, Lucy, Malificent, The Giver, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, Interstellar and Gone Girl (update: I saw it today. Let me just say, very good movie. A little bit strange and twisted, uh and mysterious. But worth-watching for sure).
One movie I particularly hated in 2014 was the Vampire Academy. Omg I read the book, well all the books, but to be honest the movie is just the biggest fail (wanted to use the bad word starting with s) of all the movies, I have ever seen (besides This is the End of course).

Ok, I'll stop rambling now.
Speak to you on Saturday,
Mary x

  1. This was a great post :) I'm gutted I didn't see the latest X-Men film, I'll have to get it on dvd, or wait until it appears on Netflix, mind you that could take some time haha. xxx

    1. Like I said, it's not the best X-Men movie, but if you like watching super heroes movies, then it's definitely worth watching!

  2. I cant wait to see your other favorites!! I have personally only seen three out these movies but I really want to watch them all. Really good list!! But I really love these choice though. Awesome picks!!

    1. Most of the movies shown above are really good. Maybe besides Need for Speed. Like I said the average racing movie :)

  3. It doesn't surprise me the vampire one wasn't too great, I think we've hammered the whole vampire genre to death in the past few years. ha. My favourite movie was Horns.

    1. Oh I heard about Horns. Daniel Radcliff. I don't know I have m ixed feelings about him. But I would really want to watch that.

  4. I loved Divergent and Mockingjay - definitely worth a watch! I haven't got round to seeing If I Stay yet though!

    1. If I Stay is such a beautiful movie. Worth seeing 100% Xxx

When you haven't blogged for 2 months and have so much catching up to do...

a really summery greeting for you there. I really enjoy this summer. Does anyone have like me, because when it's too cold, I wish it was summer, but when it's summer and really hot it just makes me wanna have winter back? Confusing, but true!

But anyway I love summer, when I don't have to do a lot. Just sit in my favourite chair, read books and drink my favourite drinks. So while drinking one of them, I thought that instead of keeping the recipes to myself, I would share them with you my dearest readers!

So here we goooo.

1) Rasberry paradise.

The ingredients: water, rasberry syrup, ice and rasberries to decorate (optional)

How we make it: I think it's the easiest one. We just add the syrup in to the glass. Then add water. Mix it with
a spoon. And well, that's it. You can of course decorate it with some rasberries and to make it even colder add ice.

2) Tropical fizz.

The ingredients: apple juice, tropical juice, soda or normal water, kiwi, strawberries and pinea…
