I happened a while back, but I didn't get the chance to tell you a little about it, so today's the day :)

So from March 27th to 29th there was an event in Warsaw called Warsaw Italian Weekend. Generally you picked one of a few restaurants, paid about 10$ and had a three course meal. It was all because in May there is a Warsaw Restaurant Week, which is planned on the same basis, but not only Italian restaurants are taking part.

Me and Kate (the link to a blog post on Kate's blog about this event is HERE) went to a restaurant called San Lorenzo. It was actually very lovely. I really enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. To be honest it was the first time, I have ever been to a such fancy restaurant.

What Kate ate, was prawns for starter, penne with eggplant and tomatoe sauce for the main dish and creme brulee for dessert. From what I heard the best part in her opinion was creme brulee.
And what I ate, was beef carpaccio with aragula and parmesan, which was served as a starter, spaghetti alla carbonara for the main dish and the best for last - tiramisu.

I think that the whole idea of this event was very good. It was a good oportunity to go to some new (and fancy) restaurants. Especially that the price was rather low, when in the menu there was a spaghetti for 15$. I hope I'll go to the Warsaw Restaurant Week, and get to know some other really nice places to eat.
